My line goes likes this:
James "Jim" Madison Gilley/Gilly married Virginia Jane Wilson in Henry Co., VA about 1849 - this is the first record I can find for them.
Their son, Haywood "Bud" Lee Gilley m. Julia Ann Lowe in Surry Co., NC.
thier son, James Albert Gilley m. Sarah Frances "Fannie" Nixon in Surry Co., NC
their son, Daniel Lee Gilley m. Hallie Bell Cheek in Wilkes Co., NC
their son, Danny Ray Gilley m. Starr Ann Poplin in Wilkes Co., NC and then they had me.
I have extensive information on James Madison and Virgina Jane Wilson Gilley's descendents, but nothing about or behind them. I am particularly interested in them. James was said to have been a farmer and a slave reprimander - although that is just hearsay as far as I know now. How do you connect? Does any of this sound familiar????
