Yes.Ida Gindele, married with G. Jordan, was a daughter of Johann Georg ( John George ) Gindele,his second child. When the family arrived at New York on Oct. 8, 1850 aboard the ship Hermann from Greenwich,Louise G. néeHirschheim, her Mother,was33 years, Franz 11 years, Ferdinand V. 8 years, George August 6 years and Karl 3 years. 1852 the family moved on to Chicago.
John G.Gindele and his sons have been prominent in the building history of Chicago during the second half of the 19. century.
