Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I'm not sure if this is entirely relevant, but I know my ancestors were from the Gedansk region of Poland some 200+ years ago. They were Mennonite and migrated to the Ukraine and then to the Canadian Prairies. "Ginter," in our community, is a variation of Guenther. One person who has done research on the origin of my ancestors in Poland is Robert Guenther. He has a web site at: http://www.lava.net/~guenth/ Hope this is of some help.
