Milan A. Ginther
I am working on a volume on the Higley Sanderson family.Milan A. Ginther, born March 28, 1896 in LaPorte County Indiana, probably in Union Mills, diel june 8, 1932 due to pnemonia and was buried at the Union Mills cemetery, grave 4, lot 11, Middle East section 7. He was stationed with the U.S. Army in Texas in 1916.He was the beloved best friend and neighbor of my grandfather Raymond Clifford Sanderson, the son of Emma Tice and Charles Clifford Sanderson.Milan's father was Charles and his mother Ellen. His siblings were Nina and Lawrence. In 1920 he was living with his wife Lillian, 18 yrs old, in Union Mills, along with his younger brother Lawrence, who I believe died Jan 1984 in Otsego, Michigan. Prior to the army, he was engaged in farming and threshing. He was a very good looking young man. His regular correspondence with my grandfather is in my possession. My grandfather must have been devastated when his best friend died in 1932. Milan played such a large part in his life.
