My name is Emiliano Gorgas, historian for the Gorgias, Gorgas, Gorges family in the United States of America.
I have been researching the Gorgias, Gorgas, Gorges family name during the past ten years.I have been able to trace our name to the Greek Sophist Gorgias (485-376 B.C.)Gorgias was not greek, he was born in Leontini Sicily and at the age of 30 was sent to Athens as an Ambassador during theRoman Empire. He remained in Greece where hebecame very famous as a Sophist, writer and teacher.
