Hi Jeff,

There is a Tobacco Girty buried in the Greenleaf Cemetery in Cherokee Co., OK. Also, on Cherokee Census Card #9214, there is a Tobacco Girty,Roll #21042, Illinois District, listed as 1/2 brother to Albert Sourjohn. Tobacco's father is shown as Isaac Girty (dead) Illinois District and Polly Girty is shown as his mother (dead), Illinois District. Does this happen to be your line of ancestors?
