Cincinnati Girty Family

I am currently researching my Arthur/Schneider family history from Cincinnati, Auglaize County Ohio and various towns in Kentucky. Last year I stumbled across some old photos from the 1930's showing my grandparents (Leroy Schneider & Helen Arthur) standing with another family near an old home. On the back of the photos, someone has written the Girty Family. One photo has Gene Girty standing next to my grandfather (Leroy Schneider) and a young girl. In another photo, this same gentleman is standing next to a Herb Herbstreit while holding an infant (Dickie Evans). Patricia Giesting and Joan Girty are also in this photograph. My father, Edward Schneider, is also in this photo.

Patricia Giesting is the daughter of Eugene Giesting & Jennie Girty. Jennie was the daughter of George W.Girty & Matilda Jenkins. It is possible that someone labeled Gene Girty by mistake, although Gene might have been another name for Jennie's brother, Earl William Girty.

My Schneider family settled into Wapakoneta and Pusheta Ohio in the 1800's. (associated names are Messmer, Hemmert, Gutman, Sellers). My Arthur line lived in Wayne, Boyd, Lewis, Campbell Counties of Kentucky and Lick & Cincinnati Ohio. (Associated names are May, Rouse,Adkins, Wiley

I am looking for any Schneider/Arthur connection to this family as I do not understand why we have their photographs.
Please contact me by email if you recognize any of these names.

Thank you

Jamie Fink
