In looking through the index of marriages for the Western District of Canada if found a listing for the marriage of Simon Girty to Algelick de Quindre, April 1802 at the River Thames and one for Catherine Girty to James Jackson in 1791 at Malden. I know that Simon and Catherine seperated, but I have never heard on any other marriages. If this is the same Simon and Catherine, it couldn't be any other I assume, then they must have gotten back together sometime after Catherine's marriage to Jackson. Or, could this Catheirne be someone else? There was also a marriage for Nancy Girty to Claves Bertrand. This Nancy was probably was a daughter of James Girty and his Shawnee wife. The Bertrands had Indian connections. Any clues?
