STOP THE PRESSES! The marriage listing I saw on the Internet was extremely out of order and not right at all. Simon Girty and Catherine Girty had there marriage recorded at Malden in 1791. Since Catherine was listed as a Girty then they either had the marriage officially recorded for the first time after the fact or they may have split and then remarried. Probably the former.
