Jerry,
I have a copy of the James Glancy and am also 6th generation descendent of James. His son David Montgomery was a preacher and doctor, his son Josiah , his son Harvey, his daughter Alice, my mother. Josiah was enrolled as a Corporal in Company F, 135th regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, on the 2nd day of May 1864, at Newark, Ohio. He was mustered into the U.S. Army on 8 May 1864 for a period of 100 days at Camp Chase, Ohio. He was captured 3 July 1864 at the battle of North Mountain, W.va. paroled and furloughed 24 December from Camp Parole, Md.
Josiah was taken to Andersonville Prison and furloughed by a rebel doctor who said he had one lung gone, after arriving home just after Christmas, he died 9 January 1965 as a result of the treatment he was subjected to at Andersonville. What is your line from James?
