Hello, Pam,
My descent is through Nancy Freelove Hopkins, by 18 Aug 1849/51 in Wanen, Racine, Wis., and Elias Waggoner Ives, born 22 Oct 1843 in Luzerne, Warren, N.Y. They were one of the two couples in the first marriage of white people in Antelope County, Neb.
May I ask where you obtained the family group sheet that says Allen's parents are John Eames and Thankful Franklin? I know Ron Humphrey has made that supposition, but has not yet proved it.
I also have the obituary of Thankful Otisca, the "Mother of Antelope County." Quite the story!
Correspondence a couple of years ago informed me that Glancy is a name of unknown origin, at least to that researcher, who had got as far back as the will of Nancy's father, Jesse Glancy and some research in generations before. Thanks for the death date of Jesse Glancy. That works out with the probate date. Where did you get his date of death?
I'd love to see the family group sheets you have, so I can fill in blanks. Want to work out an exchange of information?
