Hello Allen,
Thank you most sincerely for this information! Edwin is'nt listed on the Bathurst or Carcoar Cemeteries list but I doubt he would have a headstone anyway in case someone defiled the grave.
It was ironic that 98 years after the fact, the tomahawk was found in the bank when a new business redecorated the place.
It still had the stains of blood on it and was situated behind the tea-chest size safe.
It had many aspects to it that only a specially trained eye would see so I may just write it as a newspaper article instead and publish it that way. I think a movie or doco would hurt descendants of the victims so I decided against it.
This is the second cold case murder I have solved from the late 1800's so I hope there are loads more I can help now.
