Cornelius Glaves, christened 20 May 1720 in Seamer Near Scarborough, married Ellis (Alice) Nesfield 08 Nov 1753.It sounds to me that these may be your ancestors.
Cornelius Glaves appears to be the son of Edward Glaves who married Mary Stubes on 01 May 1711.I suspect that this Edward is the father of Edward Glaves who married who married Elizabeth Fox but i have not been able to find a christening record for him.
Would gladly share any information that I have.
As for Bedale, ther is an Edward Glaves of Bedale Wykeham, 33 (born 1792) that was buried Dec 15 1825 per the Seamer Parish Records. There is also a John Glaves of Bedale, 35, (born 1796) that was buried 06 July 1831 per the Seamer Parish Records.I suspect that these boys were brothers and are the children of John Glaves christened 18 Jan 1764.He in turn, is the son of Samuel Glaves who is the son of Edward Glaves and Mary Stubes.
Not sure how much help I'll be but I'm willing to try.Feel free to contact me direct.
