In Reply to: THOMAS BENJAMIN GLEAVES by Lois gleaves of 231

I have a Thomas Benjamin (Blunt) Gleaves in my database, born 9 Oct. 1830. There is some doubt about his year of birth because his alleged brother, Felix Gleaves, is listed as born 7 June 1830. I have no further information on Thomas Benjamin Gleaves, his spouse or his descendants. I do have other information about his siblings. This Thomas Benjamin Gleaves was the son of William B. Gleaves (Abt. 1798-Aft. 1857) and Harriet Lumpkin. William B. Gleaves was born in Davidson Co., TN and died in Dyer Co., TN. So, I think I am talking about the same Thomas Benjamin Gleaves that you are interested in. William B. Gleaves was the son of Thomas Gleaves (1771-1849) and Sarah Smith. Thomas Gleaves was the son of William Gleaves (Abt. 1750-1820) and Elizabeth Turk (1753-1840). This couple died in Wythe Co., VA. William Gleaves was the son of Matthew Gleaves, Sr., who died in Augusta Co., VA in 1760. You can read other messages at this site about Matthew Gleaves, Sr.
