Your Tennessee connection strikes home so I am responding to your post! I am trying desperately to find out about my gr grandmother, Gracie Pricillia Gleaves. She was born around 1870 in Montague Texas. She married Thomas Russell Crowe 28 Sept 1891 in Montague Texas. They had 4 children - my grandmother was the eldest child. My grandmother, Maudie Ann Crowe always said that her mother's people came to Texas originally from Tennessee and the stories she told had her grandparents around her so I assume they all lived in the North Texas area. Sadly, all the records were destroyed in a fire when my mother was a little girl and we know next to nothing. The little bit of information on our Gleaves family was found on the Crowe Pedigree so someone has done the research and I would LOVE to speak to them! My mother lives in Dallas and I understand there are some Gleaves in Dallas, as well. We might be related!! Anything you can share to shed some light on our Gleaves line would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Karen Andrews
