early Scottish Glendining's and various spellings

My father had a DNA near match to 2 people whose last name was spelled CLENDENEN (and various other spellings). I did a search for this name in "Black's" (book called Surnames of Scotland by George Black), and couldn't find anything for Clendenen but did find a listing for GLENDENING and other spellings. So I started my research with the spelling as it was shown in Black's and several of them popped up.
I thought perhaps these very early OPR's might be helpful to some of you researching your own family history so here they are...
These are Births and Baptism's -

July 1599 - Nicol GLENDRINNEN son of Simon Glendrinnen and Meg SLUMAN from Kelso, Scotland

Nov. 1600 - Jonat GLENDRINNEN daughter of (sme parents as above)same location

Nov. 1604 William GLENDINNING son of Simon GLENDINNING and Margrit Sluman (note how the spellings changed) born in Kelso, Scotland

Sept. 1605 Robert GLENDINNING son of Johne GLENDINNING and Jenot MICHALL born in Kelso, Scotland

Feb. 1606 Meg GLENDINNING daughter of Johne GLENDINNING and Meg KER born in Kelso (must have been Two Johne Glendinning's in Kelso)

July 1606 George GLENDINNING son of George GLENDINNING and ______ b. Edinburgh, Scotland

Nov. 1607 James GLENDINNING son of George GLENDINNING and _______ b. Edinburgh, Scotland

March 1609 Alexander GLENDINING (note spelling change of last name) son of George GLENDINING and Marioun HERING (prob. the same George from above) b. Edinburgh, Scotland.

Jan. 1611 Williame GLENDUNNING son of George GLENDUNNING and Marione HERING (spelling change again) b. Edinburgh.

These are most of the very early ones...others are -

John GLENDONING b. Aug. 1630 in Tranent, Scotland son of John Laird Parton GLENDONING and Isabel SETON.

Johne GLENDUNING b. Feb. 1649 son of Thomas GLENDUNING and Jonet PATERSONE in Humbie, Scotland.

John GLENDONYNG b. April 1642 son of Adam GLENDONYNG and _______ of Dumfries, Scotland

Archibald GLENDINING b. March 1642 son of James GLENDINING and Grissell (an early form of the name "Grace" so I've been told) FUTHIE b. Glasgow, High Church, Scotland.

James GLENDINING b. July 1647 son of William Glendining and Margaret WALKER of South Leith, Scotland.

Jhone GLENDINING b. May 1648 son of Walter Glendining and Margaret BORTHICK also b. South Leith.

Alexander GLENDING b. Aug. 1680 son of Ninian GLENDING b. Tillicoultry, Scotland.

Marion GLENDINING b. Feb. 1624 daugh. of Simeon Glendining and Issobel POTT born Kelso. (wonder if this is the same Simon/Simeon who was married to Meg KER/Currie?)

Nanc GLENDINING b. Sept. 1642 daug. of Michalle GLENDINING and Issobel DICKSONE.

Also one last note...Simon GLENDINING mentioned earlier, his wife Meg's last name appears in 1620 when their daughter Elizabeth was born in Kelso, as CURRIE instead of KER as it was above.
So you can see how these names changed depending upon who was writing down the record.
Hope this is helpful.
