Hi, I have some info for Premnay, Aberdeen, which is a parish WNW of Aberdeen town. There were two families of Glennies there in 1881, and probably more in surrounding areas. The parishes are small, some like Premnay, only a few miles by a few miles.

My ggrandmother Jessie Glennie was born there in 1866. Her father was James Glennie, who lived at that time in Little Mains of Ward House, near Aulton in Insch parish. Jessie's mum lived in Auchleven, in Premnay.

BTW, the person asking about Strathdon, it's 25-30km to the WSW of Premnay. My impression is that there were Glennie families widely dispersed through Aberdeenshire.

And anyone who has any info on my James... It'll be a fortnight before I vcan spend more credits with scotlandspeople.
