Hi Geoff,
Good to hear back from you. A great deal of what you have is the same as my research. Ann Paling was the daughter of Isaac Paling and Hannah Officer. Ann Glew, nee Paling actually signed the death certificate for Isaac when he died in 1843. Isaac was an Engineer by occupation...which I believe George Glew also was. There are various links in the Paling/Glew family other than this...they seemed to lurk about near each other in a few of the census listings. As well Hannah Glew originally I believe came to Australia via South Australia. My great grandmother Hannah Wood nee Palin/g lived there at this time with her husband John Wood. They had immigrated in 1855, looking at Hannah Rigby's death certificate it looks like she might have come out for a visit a couple of years later...and stayed! I would appreciate it if you contacted me via the f_lynette email address that is on this site. One note is that I do have a different IGI entry for Ann Paling than you do....I will give you further details at next contact
Kind regards Lynette
