Dear Carol,

Thanks for your reply. My ancestors seem to be a line of Geoffrey/Jeffrey Glew's from the Wistow area or Yorkshire.

I can't put my hands on all my paperwork at the moment, but I think I was looking at a marriage of a Geoffrey GLEW to Ann SMITH on 28th March 1758 at Haxey. Do you have any Geoffrey's in your line. I think I suspected that this might have been a second marriage for my Wistow Geoffrey Glew.

Would love any help that you can give me. I do find it interesting that my line of Geoffrey's seem to be the only ones around, along side a few at Haxey, so I can't help thinking that my Wistow Glew's might have come from Haxey.

Look forward to hearing back from you. Katharine Kennedy.

PS Just found what I was looking for:
Geoffrey Glew m Ellen Pearson at Wistow 1739. She died at Wistow in 1757. Then I suspect that in 1758 he might have gone to Haxey and married Ann Smith, as from thence on he still has children baptised at Wistow. Then in 1763 there is a burial at Wistow for Ann, wife of Geoffrey Glew. But there doesn't seem to be a marriage for Geoffrey and an Ann in the Wistow area.
