Hi Katharine

I think Ellen's parents were Thomas and Elizabeth nee Seymour, but I have yet to connect them to my tree. I have a public member tree on Ancestry.
I think your Glew family lived in Hambleton which is my home village. The Glew family used to live at the other side of the railyway line and the houses have long since been demolished. It was possible to get to Wistow by cart, there were wooden bridges across the "The Dam" long ago silted up. It was also possible to sail by small boat to Wistow from Hambleton. It is my theory that the Glew family of Wistow is connected to the Glew family of Howden. Many other families in my tree have used this river and drainage system as if it were roads.I am still looking for any proof of my theory. Best wishes Estelle
