Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
This is my first go at genealogy on line. I am hoping to find information on my great-grandfather, Robert Penell Glew, married to Barbara E. Laking on July 23, 1887. Had one son, Robert P. Jr. in Marsardis, Maine on September 2, 1894. Family lore has it the name was Scotch (MacGlew) and somewhere was changed to just Glew. I do not have any other information about this. Robert and Barbara lived in Sugar Brook, New Brunswick, Canada and appear to have gone back and forth between Canada and northern Maine (USA). His occupation on his son's marriage license is trapper but he also worked on the railroad around McAdam Junction, New Brunswick.
