This could be a coincidence, or the above information is in error. In a book I have on Old Rappahannock Co, VA Wills and Deeds, 1677-1682, Part II, is a paper signed by a William Plew, mentioning his wife Constant and her father Richard Taylor; her brother Simon Tayler; and a Roderick Jones. Richard and Simon are said to ancestors of mine - the name is spelled both ways in the document. Essex Co. was part of (old) Rappahannock.
