Jesse Glover/Thomas/Richard/Franklin
Jesse Glover appears out of nowhere in 1840 Kanawha County, Va. census, age between 60 & 70 with two sons betwen 20 & 30 years of age and a wife also between 60 and 70. In the same census Thomas Glover appears six pages away with a young family. Apparently he had wed 3 years earlier in Bedford County, Va.
By 1850 census Jesse is gone, but Richard Glover and Franklin Glover appear as neighbors, married to Bocock sisters, with Samuel and Morning Bocock as neighbors(the in-laws!). Thomas Glover and Nancy Bocock Glover & family are now in Gallia County, Ohio, situated at the mouth of the Kanawha River.
I don't know if any of these Glovers are related beyond the brother-in-law factor(married to 3 sisters is the only certainty I have).
Richard and Franklin Glover married their spouses on the same day in 1845 in Kanawha County. The two men are in the correct age bracket to belong to Jesse Glover from 1840 census. Thomas was near Jesse in that same census and was married to a third Bocock sister. Thomas does re=appear to Kanawha County by 1860 & on to Mason County, WV by 1870. Thomas's son Samuel sets up house by 1870 in Putnam County, between Kanawha and Mason Counties before moving back to Gallia County, Ohio by 1880.
Can anyone lend empirocal support to my asumption that Thomas, Richard and Franklin Glover are brothers and the sons of a Jesse Glover?
