Gnann Family in GA/Radick-Readick family

My family and I are researching the Reddick family of Burke and Screven Counties in GA. In doing so, we are investigating the possibility that the Reddick name may have changed from RADICK/READICK.

The Radick family was a Salzburger family who came to Savannah in the 1730s. Four children of Johann Radick and wife Barbara were: Jacob, Michael, Johann 2, and Anna.

In investigating this particular family, we have run across one marriage between David Gnann and Maria Sophia Radick/Readick/Redic (recorded different ways).

We have also become aware of the fact that the Gnann family lived on what is today Dutch Island in Savannah, along with Michael Radick/Readick. Each owned part of this island. There are several graves still on the island. At one point, it was called Providence Island, Readick Island, etc.

Any information any of you could assist us with in making a connection to this family would be appreciated.

You can email me direct at

Thanks in advance, and if I can help any of you with more information, I will be happy to do so.
