Just saw your messaghes to check out. My husband is decended from John also. Your list of children included a Preston James. It should be James Preston Gobin. They were married under Preston, not to be confused with another Preston about the same time. The family very often used their middle names during their lifetime. Did youknow Wm. the father was a Rev soldier? Do you know where he is buried in Otisco, Indiana? He's out in a field with a marker near the blink town. Need permission from farmer. Small cemetery there have many relatives of Coons.
