I have been looking into the GOBIN family in Illinois as I believe they may have a connection to my greatgrandfather, Isaac K. WELLS.

James GOBIN b c1826 in Ohio married Adaline WELLS 22 June 1845 in Coles County, Illinois. Adaline was born c1825 in Tennessee and died some time after August 1963. James and Adaline's children were James B. Gobin b c1850 in Coles, IL, William M. b c1855 in IL, and John A. b c1857 in IL. I am trying to determine if Adaline and my Isaac were siblings.

James B. GOBIN b c1850 married Althea Ann RENNELS 21 May 1870 in Shelby County, Illinois. Their children were Malinda b c1871, S.H. b c1874, and S.A. b c 1877 and all were born in Illinois according to the 1880 census in Wise County, TX when they were enumerated with their grandfather, Thomas Scott RENNELS.

If I do "prove" a relationship between Isaac and Adaline WELLS, I have a great deal of information about the WELLS family.

Hope to hear from you,
Sharon
