Lovie Jane Gobin (Goben/Gobum?), MO
Posted by: Randy Bridges Date: March 11, 1999 at 10:28:59

My gg-grandmother was Lovie Jane Gobin (I have also seen it spelled Goben and Gobum), who was born 20 September 1848 in Missouri and died 18 December 1922, probably in Dade County, MO. The 1850 Ray County, MO census shows Jane Gobum (age 2) with Permelia Gobum (age 25, born OH) under the family of Sirenus Jennings (age 57, born PA). I have information that Permelia is the daughter of Sirenus Jennings, and that her first husband was Milton Gobin. Permelia and her family may have been in Livingston County, MO prior to going to Ray County.

Lovie Jane Gobin married James A. Petty in Clinton County, MO in 1869, and the family eventually migrated to Dade County.

Any help with this line, especially with Milton Gobin, would be greatly appreciated!!
