Pierre's father is thought to be Jean Baptiste Gaudin-Tourangeau. Catherine's parents were Pierre Dumont dit Laviolette b. Apri 22, 1704 in North Montreal and married Agnes Marthe Clement sept 11, 1747 in Kaskaskia, IL. Later phonetic spelling of Gaudin became Godin for some families.
