The Census info would indicate that Treffle was married
prior to his marriage to Margaret. She was born in 1881/1882
and could not have been the mother of a child born in 1889.
However, the marriage record of the son, Joseph Treffle
born 1898, indicates that his Mother was Agnes Godin:
19487-23 (Renfrew Co) Joseph Treffle BELANGER, 25, laborer, Griffith, Renfrew, s/o Treffle BELANGER & Agnes GODIN married Mary Louise VINCENT, 23, at home, Griffith, Horton, d/o Elzear VINCENT & Marceline LECLAIRE, witn: John KING & Carnel CHUTE of Griffith, 3 July 1923, Renfrew
According to info I found, Treffle was the son of Nicolas Belanger and Sophie Charbonneau.No info was available about his marriage or wife.
