From reading your previous emails, I don't think there's a relationship.From the information my mother gave me, my grandfather Jan Godlewski came from a state called Grodzinska (under the Russians) and the area Rozany Stok.I was unable to find any state name Grodzinska so I'm not sure if it is correct but I did find the area.She mentioned that he came to the Us in the 1890's and stayed with my mother's aunt Helen Nowacki.She lived in Natrona, Pa.My mother also wrote that my grandfather had a meat market in New Britain, Connecticut.
Jan married my grandmother Bronislawa Szulc in April, 1898.I do have a copy of their marriage certificate and his naturalization to the U.S.Good luck in your search.
