Elvira Goins , married to HIram Cape of Hamilton County , ILL

Has anyone researched the family of Hiram Cape and Elvira Goins of Hamilton county Illinois. Hiram was in the Civil War, they had a son John Cape who married a Lucinda (?) and those two lived at Shawneetown Ill.By 1893, their younger children became orphaned and one daughter was my grandmother.

The Cape family is hard to trace. Hiram also had a brother William who was married to a Margaret Brumley(Brumly?).

I have their records of marriage, both Hiram and William and both lived in Hamilton County.

I am thinking that with the research of the Goins family that maybe someone has followed forward or backwards , Elvira Goins Cape. Would like to see photos if any exist as well as other documented facts.

David Holroyd, Lawrence, KS
