I am trying to find out more about this person and his family. He died after the 1910 census was taken and before the 1920 census, or at least I have not located him in 1920, probably in Erath Co., TX. On some records the name is spelled Goin, others it is Goins. He was married to Annie Mae/Bell/Belgium Roberts about 1863 probably in IL as daughter Rena Jane is born 9/1884 IL. M.A. stated he was born in IL, father in TN and mother in TN. On the 1900 Justice Pct 2, Erath Co., TX census he is listed as "Maston E. Gorie". On the 1910 census of same location he is living with a Archibald A. Howell family as a hired man using the name "Alexander Goins". Per the TX death certificates of 3 of his children his name is recorded as "Alexander Goins", "M.A.Goin" and "Matson A. Goin". All state he was born in IL. Since the last name is so often misspelled, it is hard to determine if I am looking at the correct family. I am researching a descentant of daughter Rena Jane who married Leonadus Hanibal Howell about 1902/1903 probably Erath Co., TX. Any assistance would be most appreciated.
