I have a Harriett Gold, but most of the other data are not consistant with the info I have on her, so I doubt that it is the same person. What is intriguing is that my grandmother, whose aunt was a Harriett Gold, claimed to be part Cherokee, though we do not know how/who of her ancestors were Cherokee. Harriett was born in Mo. in about 1845, the oldest child of Joseph Gold and Julia Parker, both of whom reported birth in Md. of parents also born in Md. I do not know what the "county" borders of Md. were in 1818 and 1828 when Joseph and Julia were born, but am quite interested in the Cherokee connection, as I have not found a TRACE of either Gold or Parker ancestry info related to Indian ancestry. P.S. I haven't any idea who my Harriett married. Please reply with any leads.
Thank you.
