Keziah [Tucker] Cavener
Benjamin Tucker of Lincoln Colunty, TN. gave his deposition to the Lincoln County Court on February 22, 1847 and stated that he married Jane Spinner. That they were the parents of Keziah M. Tucker who married Patrick Cavener in Amelia County, Virginia, in 1821.
Keziah M. Tucker gave her deposition the same day and place, and verified that she was in fact the daughter of Benjamin and Jane [Spinner] Tucker, and that she in fact married Patrick Cavener, in Amelia County, Va. John Spinner died October 3, 1825 in Amelia County, VA..And that she came to Lincoln County, TN. in about 1826 with her husband, Patrick Cavener, her mother Mary Spinner and three of their children; James, Cavener born 1821, John Cavener, born 1822, and TimothyCavener, born in 1824 all born in Amelia County, VA. Mary Jane Cavener was born in 1827 in Lincoln County, TN.. and William Patrick was born in 1831 in Bedford [now Marshall] County, TN..
The father Patrick Cavener died in the early 1830's in Marshall County, TN. Three of their children married children of Johnathan Gold. Thomas Gold married Mary Jane Cavener, Winnie Gold marrried Timothy Cavener. and Rachel Minerva Gold married
William Patrick Cavener. In the 1850 census of Marshall County, TN., Keziah Cavener was shown in the household of Thomas Gold as being 50 years old.
The Johnathan Gold Wagon Train left Gold Hill in Lincoln County, TN., for what is now Christian County, MO. after they were all settled near Boaz in Porter Twonship, by 1860 there were 22 double cousins in that area. Keziah Cavener is the gr-mother of all Cavener's in this area. and Johnathan Gold is the gr-dad of all Gold's in the area. A family record of either one would not be complete without some record of the other. By Ray Gold
