Hi Ray,Thank you for replying to my e-mail.I hope we can sort something out. But I don't know if I can be of any assistance to you. You have done a lot of research.
How could I prove where my Captain John Gold originated from. I have no idea other than South Carolina was written after his name, when somebody sketched a family tree in 1906. But it must have been mentioned for them to write it down. I know he was dead before 1821, his wife Mary as listed a widow on the census forms. When you looked at the census records did you come across any other Golds in SC, who were not related to
you? Are these census on line? What are your books about? Why two. Did you write about your Golds or incorporate them into a novel.
