You are definitly related to the Golds of Cleveland Co. North Carolina, and my Gold family. I have a lot of information on the family. The Min Gold you spoke of is Williamson Fortune Gold. I was not able to connect your Benjamin Martin gold to any of the information I have, most of what I have on side lines does not come any closer to today than the 1890's. If you could find or tell me who Benjamin Martin Gold's father is I can probably help you a great deal. I can tell you that the first of the gold family in Cleveland and Rutherford Co. North Carolina is Daniel Gold III and his wife Frances Griffen Christopher. I am descended throu theri son Sterling Christopher Gold. If you are related through Williamson Fortune Gold then you are descended through his father James Milton, who is Sterling 's brother and also son of Daneil III and Frances. Daniel Gold III was the son of Daniel Gold II and Margaret Seat. Daniel Gold II was the son of Daniel Gold I. The direct line is then Daniel Gold I, Thomas Gold, Christopher Gold (the emigrant to Va.), Richard Gold, George Gold, James Gold, John Gold, Thomas Gold, Robert Gold, JOhn Gold, Robert Gold, John Gold, Elias Gold, ----- Gold, John Gold (a Crusader in the 1st crusades). I look forward to hearing from you. Guy
