Allen, if you will contact me by Email, we can give you several more generations of your GOLD ancestors, back to a james GOLD who married a Martha WEBSTER in Philadelphia in 1775. This James GOLD was in Seneca Co., NY about 1800-1815, then moved to Franklin Co., IN where he died in 1831. Your great grandfather, John GOLD was born there and moved to Taylor Co., IA. All of his brothers stayed in IN. My wife, Betty GOLD's father Raymond Anson GOLD was born in Taylor Co and moved with his parents to southern MN. Your grandfathers were brothers.
