According to Ray GOLD'S Book TRACES OF GOLD:
Thomas GOLD'S application for veterans Pension was processed and approved for $8.00 per month in 1871. He died July18, 1874 and is buried in the GOLD Cemetery on his old homeplace in Maynard's Cove, in Jackson County, Alabama

Nancy (HOLLAND) GOLD died beforethe 1870 census and is buried beside her husband, Thomas GOLD, in Maynard's Cove.
