hi, i have just recieved a marriage cert for one of my family lines.
Its not specific to you, but could be!!
The marriage of John Thomas Gravett and Jane Turner was witnessed by a Doretta or Rosetta Gravett and an OBED GOLDS.
this marriage took place in St. Nicholas Church, Brighton. This is about 10 miles from Wiston near washington.
I am tryign desperately to find out about these people, so if you have an OBED golds (sounds jewish...more jewish than just Golds!) then i would appreciate it.
Seems to be in the same area, and the date of the marriage was 5th august 1842, so maybe a little earlier that the GOLDS' you are looking for, but keep it in mind. similarly if you see any gravetts/turners in your tree, maybe worth investigating

Cheers
