Sarah Gold Owens Grave Marker Dedication 10/6/02

Happen to come across this in a local paper:

A grave marker dedication service for Sarah Gold, born 1814 and died 1864, is planned for Sunday, Oct. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at the Daniel Gold Cemetery, northwest of Lattimore.

Sarah was the wife of Elias P. Owens, a Confederate soldier who died in 1862 and is also buried in the cemetery.

Family members are asked to attend the dedication. The family will meet on Padgett Road, mile south of West Zion Church Road and will walk about 200 yards to the cemetery. The program should last about 20 minutes. There will be transportation for those unable to walk the distance.

For more information, call Phil or Carolyn Gold, (704) 434-2412.
