Morley Man Died On Friday
Morley---Jesse Farnam GOOLDEN, 65, died of a heart attack in the Edward J. Noble Hospital in Canton Friday.
Mr. GOOLDEN was stricken at 2:30 a.m.A neighbor, Rev. Russell FRASE, took him to the E. J. Noble Hospital where the lifelong Morley resident was pronounced dead by Dr. Eric SHAFFER of Canton.
Mr. GOOLDEN, a carpenter and general contractor by trade, was born in Morley on Dec. 20, 1892, the son of the late Judson and Katherine STEVENSON GOOLDEN.
He was educated in Lisbon rural elementary school and attended Madrid High School.
Mr. GOOLDEN was twice married.On Sept. 9, 1917, he married Miss Maude WOODBRIDGE of Morley.The couple had one daughter, Marguerite.
Both his first wife and his daughter predeceased Mr. GOODLEN.
On July 11, 1934, he married his second wife, Mrs. Nancy VEIO, in a ceremony performed by Rev. Rose WRIGHT in the Parishville Methodist Church.
Survivors include his second wife; a daughter, Nancy, at home; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Anker (Jessie) ANDERSON and Mrs. James (Marguerite) COLLINS, both of Morley; Mrs. Charles BRESEE, Liverpool, and Mrs. Sylvester DEVANS, Brooklyn; three brothers, Mervin, of Morley, Leon, of Madrid, and Arthur of Canton; one maternal aunt, Mrs. Emma STEVENSON, Morley; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Apr. 7, at 1:30 p.m. in the family residence on Church St..At 2 p.m., last rites will be held in the Weslyan Methodist Church.The Rev. Russell FRASE, pastor, will officiate.Burial will follow in the Morley Cemetery.
