Would like contact with any researchers of the Golden/Goldin/Golding/Goulding families of Wilkes and Lincoln Co., GA. I am still searching for the origin of my Mark Golden, b:1762.

There is some misinformation on this family of Lincoln on the Internet Genealogy sites. I have found some data that I would like to share with someone who is still interested in finding out the truth. Looking at some Headright plats in 1785/Wilkes and I'm now scanning the Tax Digests. Finding some related surnames with the Golden family as adj. land owners.

Who was Moses Golden in 1787/Wilkes with 135 ac. (same pg. James Todd, John Heard, Jr., John & Britain Lockhart)

Who was John Golding in 1787/Wilkes with 200 ac. (same pg. J. Richardson)

Who was Richard Golden in 1787/Wilkes with 171 ac.

Some information:
Aventon Perkins to Thomas Walton, 1798 - deed for 120 ac on Soap Ck. adj. Moseley, Hughes, Ammons and Richard Golden.

Thomas Walton, wife Jean Sudduth, to David Murray 21 July 1804 - originally laid out to Richard Golden.

Thomas Walton, wife Jean Sudduth, d:1806/Lincoln Co., GA.

Seems to be two families of John Goldin/ing's in the note below.
(I've left out a few other names that were adjacent in the list.)

Richard Goldin, 1 poll. - 171 ac in Wilkes Co. 1787

James Ashley, 1 poll. - 200 ac in 1787 on Long Creek from John Talbot

William Edwards, 1 poll, 200 acres Wilkes Co.
Henry Dooley, 1 1/2 polls, 1 slave, 400 acres Wilkes Co.
