Hi Anita,
I was looking in to the creation of GA counties when I came across your post. My Golden's are said to come from Warren County. Henry Golden b. ca 1800. He arrived in Pike County for the 1840 census. I was given information that his father was David Golden of Warren County. If you see these names please let me know.

Does any of the information you see give enough information to locate on a map where the lands are?

Thanks, Kathy

Warren County was created from Burke, Columbia, Washington, and Wilkes counties on Dec. 19, 1793 by an act of the General Assembly (Ga. Laws 1793, p. 10).

Lincoln County was created from Wilkes County on Feb. 20, 1796 by an act of the General Assembly (Ga. Laws 1796, p. 9).
