Golden of Beregszasz or other town in Austria-Hungary 1800s

My (paternal) great-grandmother was Ida Farkas, daughter of Ben Farkas. Ida's mother had the surname "Golden." Ida had at last one brother - named "Morris" although I am unsure of the spelling (I wonder if it was "Moritz").

Ida married Max Marowitz (also from Beregszasz) in Hungary, and they emigrated to the US in 1898 and moved first to Pennsylvannia and then settled in Warren, Ohio. I have photos of them both!

Ida's funeral records say she was from "Austria" but I am assuming this was a poorly recorded version of "Austro-Hungarian Empire," which it was called when she left.

Please contact me via email if this is any connection to your family. jennywriter (at) gmail (dot) com
