Figured it out. Heinzendorf is in the Czech Republic, not Germany. It is now called Hyncice, Moravia. This was where Gregor Mendel was born, and in those days, it was part of Austria. I guess this line of Goldfuss is only German in the sense that it derives from a Germanic tribe, not Germany itself.
