Seeking Dorothy Yetta Goldman, daughter of Jack and Mollie
I have just obtained my grandparents 1922 birth certificate. My paternal grandmother's maiden name is listed as Dorothy Yetta Goldman. She lists her parents as Jack (who I would guess was Jacob) and Mollie. They were married in Manhatten--she married my grandfather, then Abe Patchersky, a violinist.I know from photographs that Dorothy had a brother and sister--but I do not have their names. The family lived in Kings, Brooklyn.I have photos of them at Coney Island.Later, Dorothy changed the family name to Parkes--and Abe went by Arthur, so they were Arthur and Dorothy Parkes. They had two children, Lester is my father, and he has a brother. My father was confirmed at Temple Emanuel in NYC--but the family could never have afforded to live there. At some times, my father and his little brother were in orphanage--and I surmise that a patron paid for my father to go to college.Abe Patchersky/Arthur Parkes was a violinist.Dorothy had, at times, had a faling out with members of her Goldman family and did not leave records behind.I would be very grateful for any help--especially to lead to the surviving relatives I'm sure are out there born to her sister and brother.I have a photograph if you think we have a match.Thank you.Dorothy Yetta Goldman would have been born around 1902.Nancy
