Mick, I believe you could be the gentleman than e mailed me quite a while ago and I promtly lost your message and couldn't reply. I am sorry.

A site that lists names but not locations is: http://www.cwgc.org/

I don't know if the sketchy information I have may be the family you are looking for but here goes:

Joseph Goldthorpe born about 1858.
Married Elizabeth Harrison.

Lived first at 6 Rose and Crown Yard. Worsbrough near Barnsley then at 3 Green Row. Worsbrough.

Children.

Mary Ann born around 1880
Joseph born around 1882
Sarah born around 1885
William born around 1890
George born March 1901 - my grandad.
There should be a Fred and Arthur in there somewhere but I have no record of them and am going by what I've been told. I don't know anything else except that I was told that Fred died in the First World War.

There were also other Goldthorpes living in Worsbrough at that time so they probably are all related.

Thats as much as I know - or don't know!
