I am confused about the birthdate for Caroline Gouldthorpe. Many sources list her birthdate as 12 June 1841 and that she married Charles Wardle. However, in the 1880 Census of Midway, Wasatch Co., UT, (age 30)her birthdate would be about 1850. The 1920 and 1930 Censuses for South Ashley, Uintah Co., UT, (age 69 and 79 respectively) she would have been born about 1851. But her father William died in 1847. Also, in the 1930 Census she states she is 79 yrs of age and was married at 18. I show her marriage date as 29 Apr 1860 which would mean she was born abt 1842. Could she really be off that far in estimating her birthdate? Does anyone have a copy of her birth record in England?

My husband is a descendant through Caroline's sister Susanah Gouldthorpe Heaps.
