My great great grandmother was Mary Gollan, born abt 1836, who married James Kennedy. I believe Mary was born in Cape Breton, NS. I also believe here parents were Kenneth Gollan (1780-1889) and Ann MacDonald (1804-1888). I don't know if Kenneth and Ann married in Scotland or in NS. It seems the family must have moved to the Kincardine area of Ontario where Mary married James Kennedy. I believe they lived near Ripley, Ontario where their 12 children were born. I don't know if my Mary is related to your Gollan's.
