Hello Ruth,
We have just discovered that Annie Gollan and William Wilson are out great grandparents. They had 8 children one of whom was Edward Albert Wilson our grandfather. Family folklore said that William Wilson was born in Scotland which we have since discovered on the 1911 census for Northern Ireland is untrue so he was born in Ireland. We think the Scottish connection is that he went to Scotland where he met Annie Gollan, married and returned to live in Armagh. We are trying to trace both their parents, have you had any luck in finding further information about them?
We live in Portadown, 11 miles from Armagh and will be trying to access church records so if we find anything further we will let you know.
Jennifer McCann & Joanna Breen
